I had a similar device from someone else that I liked but had a few problems with it. I mostly use it in a dark place, so I had to light it to read. This one lights up so no problem and I love it. Another problem I had with the old one was that it was difficult to read the small minus sign to determine which way to lean from 0.00. This little guy has an animated angle icon that instinctively points in which direction. I noticed that the bubble above is not quite correct. When the display reads 0.00, the bubble moves slightly to the side. Not much, but enough to make me suspicious of the bubble. Or maybe the digital part, I don't know. Just an observation. I also like the hold button so I can measure without looking at it.
