This doorstop works well. It feels well made, the parts don't rattle or anything like that. The foot will fall to the ground for sure and usually stay there (depending on how you set it up. Here's a tip. This worked for me: if you place it too high over a door the foot won't stick to the ground very well, so before you do anything (or drill, place the base plate against the door, slide the leg out and make sure it's at an angle you know will hold up once installed) I have it set too high as you can see in the video but it still works the way I want it to. If I were to do it again I would set it 1/4" lower. It's quite noisy when it's on hits the plate after you step on it and it retracts (as you can hear in the video) I bought this exact model in two colors for two different doors and the video I posted was with a different color ( Satin Nickel) but both doorstops will work no matter what benefits the manufacturer.
