Review on 🔧 Enhanced Performance Black Urethane 6 and 8 Cylinder Transmission Mount Kit by PROTHANE 7-1604-BL by Marc Burke

This is a POWERFUL mount! I bought and installed 5, yes FIVE, stock transmission mounts on my WS6 only to rip each one apart in two months max. To make matters worse I just bought Corvette C6Z06 wheels for my Trans Am which give good extra traction to those rear tires. The first time I took it off these new tires, it ripped the stock transmission mount completely in half and smashed the transmission into the floor of my car. I quickly realized this was becoming a big problem and went online to find a heavy-duty mount that could handle the tests I wanted to test. I found this article and from what I read it seemed promising; hard urethane, and from the picture I could see that the metal was actually bowing around the urethane in the middle, which I think took a long time to further increase the strength. So I received the item within a few days and my fiance and I installed it the same day (yes, I'm lucky enough to have a woman with me getting her hands dirty under my Trans Am!). Ever since I installed this vehicle, I've seriously insulted it! I powerslide every chance I get and most of the time I'm shooting at spinning tires. With so much rubber on the road and frequent clutch releases at 4000rpm with heavy traction (always centerforce!) expect a LOT from that little piece between the drivetrain and crossbar, but for now it's done. my duty without the slightest complaint, just sitting patiently day after day at all the insults I could throw. I'd say if you need a gear mount that you just can't break, get this one!
