Perfect Cat Food Tray

Protects hardwood floors, understated/frosted clear silicone mat almost "disappears" visually. We have 2 cats & use larger S/S bowls than pictured, just fits 2 bowls with a little room to spare for an occasional cup-sized bowl of tuna treat. Raised lines allow any water or food spills to sink to the bottom of the tray, easily rinses off. There's a small hole at one end to hang it on a hook, if anyone ever had reason to do so. It even comes with a matching attached plastic hook (which can be removed).I had previously been using a kitchen towel underneath their food bowls; This looks much nicer & performs beautifully. I don't think this is a necessity or any miracle product, it just looks cleaner & more modern than a kitchen towel on the floor, & it works just fine to protect floors from minor water spills / food crumbs.(PS: Veterinarians advise that if your older cat is dropping a lot of crunched food outside the bowl, this could indicate cat is suffering severe tooth pain, & should undergo Dental X-rays. This requires Cat-specialty Dental care & anesthesia, apparently many cats die during or after inexperienced anesthesia, & if a tooth/teeth must be pulled to relieve severe pain, cost will be + $1,000.00, but we don't want our cats to suffer in severe tooth root pain, all of which has nothing to do with this silicone mat- Except, pls consider this if your cat is crunching & dropping dry kibble outside of the bowl. From my Googling, watch for signs of tooth pain after age 7 yrs, 9 yrs, or especially 10-12 yrs = "Old age".).

Pros
  • wish I had these when we had our other cats. keep the area so clean - and they don't slide around.
Cons
  • May not be effective at keeping bowls in place during feeding times
