How to ruin a good product
First Kyocera's $40 wide slicer and $24. are you identical? The "cheaper" has the same handguard as the narrower Kyocera Slicer. It is designed to be stabilized by tabs that hold the handguard in place on the slicer. The $40 handguard (black! Wow!) doesn't have that option, and there's no way to stabilize it while slicing on the slicer. Unfortunately I threw away the whole package thinking it was the wide, "broad" one, otherwise I would have sent it back immediately.
