Incredibly boring and very suspicious branding.

The knives all came very blunt, but I haven't given up hope and have "sharpened" them with a "sharpener" (although these staves don't actually sharpen, they just edge the blade, but I just do this pedantic point because they call it a sharpener) and be sure to follow the exact method indicated on the chart. It helped, but not nearly enough. I could hardly effortlessly cut through an apple with several knives (chef's knife, santoku, utility knife). I don't expect top quality from a $60 knife set, but I've bought $20-$40 knives that work much better than this one. I would say with confidence that they are on par with cheap/dollar shop cutlery in terms of functional quality. Maybe it was a bad batch, but am I thinking of bad quality control when the whole set of knives slipped away? As I pondered my decision to simply return it, I noticed something else that struck me as extremely suspicious. The product page says the brand "fifame", the box says "kaqinu" (with the picture on the box and that brand), but the block itself says "aokiwo" and the knives themselves are branded "kaqinu ". "So what's going on here? I was curious enough to take a quick look and realized that all 3 of these brands have little to no internet presence and probably only manufacture a very wide range of products (e.g. shower heads, phone cases, knife holders) ), and as far as I can tell it's probably cheap labor doing this in a warehouse that cuts every corner (but at least not with those knives, as they can't cut anything :P ).To me a fraudulent product trying to market cheap products masquerading as "quality" but trying to maximize profit at the expense of the consumer. That's just my two cents after I tried to use them for a few days :).
