Floor drain 3/8 " threads were not sharpened properly
As other customers rightly pointed out, the quality of the threads was not up to standard. Either cut the threads yourself or prepare to pay someone else to who is thinking of forcibly tightening it. It will ruin your new purchase. I rethreaded it myself. Oil separator or brass fittings. I did not install it on the car so I cannot comment on its work.
