First, I gave this a four star to be more fair to the seller and product. I should not have tried drilling final size freehand while also holding the box in the other hand, but this is a warning to others: grabby plastic + big drill bit = big force. Broke the first one in my hand (ow; big duh, safety third moment), but eventually I did manage to get a 1/4" instrument panel connector, an XLR male panel connector, and a 1:1 audio transformer to fit in the box. The 1:1 audio transformer colors the audio too much for it to be of any use to me so it was all a waste, but I have many more projects where little boxes might come in handy; no loss.So in the end, I shouldn't have drilled a 1/4" hole double-freehanded. and I shouldn't have bought these based on price and not paid attention to *all three dimensions* as these were just barely big enough, but that's my fault.
