There are times when I don't want the dog running around the yard or I'm at the park and I want him around. Rope is great for this, but it's even better because it's vinyl covered so nothing can get in when he's messing with it. The cable is of good quality and seems strong enough to keep my energetic little dude in check. . There are clips on either end and I screwed an eye hook into one of the patio cover pillars so it's very easy to attach him and his collar and now he has a place to run but he's still close by . At the park, I can just thread the clip through the chair or table legs and reattach it to the cable for a secure connection. I would have preferred a longer length - maybe around 15 feet, but I'd rather keep him close than sag too much and let him get in trouble. This is a great solution for me and I can recommend it to you without reservation.
