Overall the garage door opener looks good. A little pricey but the concept is solid. It makes much more sense to apply torque to the torsion bar rather than pull the door with a belt/chain drive. It was pretty easy to install. Probably easier than a regular garage door opener. It's very quiet compared to the chain drive opener, but the new belt and worm drives are pretty quiet too. For the money you should probably go for a regular top opener. However, if you want to save space above the door for storage or just enjoy a clean look like I do, it's probably worth the extra money. If it ever breaks, it will be much easier to replace. Now for what pissed me off. If I hadn't already installed the damn thing I would have sent it back on principle. This opener does NOT support WiFi as claimed. This requires the use of a "gateway" module that connects to your router with a CAT5 cable. NOT WiFi. It works, but now I have another device connected to my router. The fact that they claim it is Wi-Fi is a complete lie. At such a price there should be no compromises. And certainly not such false advertising.
