I prefer Mitsuboshi belts on Japanese cars as they are Japanese OE but Gates are fantastic and I would use them on any car . Time. The timing belt on my Honda Accord is Gates, and half the drive belts on my cars are Gates. The Subaru has a Mitsuboshi timing belt and both cars have at least a Dayco, which is good too. But Gates is fine and will do a great job. They have amazing quality control and I have never seen anyone fail.
