Review on 🔧 Dorman 924-5528 Drive Belt Tensioner Tool: Perfect Fit for Mack/Volvo Models by Carl Givens

I was happy to receive this part to help replace the V-belt on my 2012 Volvo D13 but it did not work as advertised. This works for removing the smaller belt, but not for the V-belt. We watched online videos to make sure we are using the tool properly and correctly. It fits easily in the stretcher, but the problem is that it's too short. It kept banging against the pulleys, giving us no chance to move the tensioner far enough to loosen the tension and re-tighten the V-belt. We ended up using a 1/2" small head ratchet with 2ft of PVC pipe in place of this tool. If the part that goes into the tensioner was about 3" taller and a bit narrower it would work great and I'm sure that I would keep it instead of returning it advertised V-belt.
