Review on A.O. Smith Honeywell Gas Control Valve 100262939 2-Inch Cavity Natural Thermostat - Compatible with A.O. Smith, State, American, Whirlpool, and Craftmaster Water Heaters by Mike Goodwin

This control valve from Honeywell failed on my mom's water heater. This item was a direct replacement. I watched a youtube video on the replacement and found the installation very easy. During my research, I found that this item is very problematic in the industry and many people and installers are disappointed. I also found through a web search that this article has been withdrawn. I've tried calling Honeywell and all you get is a very long musical message and I've never had a chance to speak to anyone. For the value of this item this is a fairly cheap replacement considering the water heater is only 3 1/2 years old and in very good condition. This item was also shipped very quickly. I'm happy!
