This setup is awesome. I installed fans on a 2003 Silverado to replace the belt driven fan. I feel a little more horsepower but I'm really curious to see how the fuel economy improves. Overall an easy setup in terms of installation, but do yourself a favor and use a Flex-a-lite variable speed controller or one that's painless. These fans are powerful. Along with the installation I upgraded my alternator from 105 amps to 145 amps to give them enough power. In the same vein, you should also install a separate magnet for the "hot" ignition wire that will be required regardless of what control kit you use to control these fans. I have decided not to use the Derale controller due to poor reviews and reported issues with it. It was a bit of work, but I'm very happy with the result. You won't be disappointed with this fan setup!
