Cools the engine well. Much louder than some other Derala fans. They use a lot of power, so be sure to connect appropriately sized wires and relays to them. The housing is durable and very versatile in installation.

the best aftermarket fan sold on the imo market today. incredible performance. Easy installation, direct wiring. I added a temperature switch to the circuit to turn it on at 210 and off at 200. Works great. turns on when needed and cools down quickly. bad will buy derale again.

Like all hot rod parts, you must modify it to fit and this Derale fan is no exception. I went through two other electric fans with no success. I've read about types and CFM fans for HP engines. With two fans and a shroud, the Derale has you covered. This kit cools the engine and then shuts down, stops running and cools my 383 CI. I also use an electric fan and fuel pump. So I switched to a larger generator.

Normally I would give DERALE high marks but having just been informed that they do not control their own manufacturing process I cannot do so for this product. The fan wires are not long enough to reach the onboard digital control box. Really 1/2 inch shorter and I've just been told that fan manufacturers "get what you get" and that's a "too bad". I was also told that extending the wires would not affect the operation of the fan. Here is your sign. I'm not impressed.

First of all. in fact (at least for me) these are SPAL fans who are worth their money's worth in and of themselves. The case design is very good, it has everything you need for a basic installation. Don't use the 40A FKING relay, take the 80A relay kit to run both fans Got 1 (80A) relay harness on Amazon for Get $8, put a 35A fuse, usually the fan uses 30, be sure to fuse each fan + wire. and as for the thermostat, I went to the autozone, they had an adjustable washer for $19, which is great. This setup is awesome. I installed fans on a 2003 Silverado to replace the belt driven fan. I feel a little more horsepower but I'm really curious to see how the fuel economy improves. Overall an easy setup in terms of installation, but do yourself a favor and use a Flex-a-lite variable speed controller or one that's painless. These fans are powerful.
