The flashlight itself is fine but it was the mount that ultimately made me return this product. The mount that comes with the kit is poorly designed in my opinion. The main issue with the design (and this also applies to the optional clamp mount) is that the locking mechanism does not hold the light itself firmly to the mount. The back of the lamp vibrates on moderate road bumps and causes the entire lamp to rattle. I checked three times to make sure the cap was fully secured. Second, attaching the strap requires you to attach it so tightly that you have to use a lot of force to stretch the strap. If you don't do this, after a very short drive, the headlight will spin back and forth. The optional clip mount solves that problem, but I'll be damned if I spend another $11 on something that was originally intended to be in this product. a rumble that completely ruined this product for me. From reading the reviews this seems to have been an issue for at least a few years. So, in my opinion, NR had the opportunity to redesign their mount, but they didn't. Like others I don't understand why the light is marked 1000 but sold in a box of 900. I will most likely be re-installing my old NR light which has a much better clip mount.
