It is listed at the top of other reviews and top 10 sites. You are right. Slightly more expensive than a cheap pump, but the gauge is larger and easier to read than a cheap pump. It has a stamped metal base that holds the pump securely when you step on it to inflate. The pump nozzle has a shrader (large) on one side and a presta (small) on the other side, allowing the blockage "at a distance” from the tube shaft to determine the direction of airflow. The adjustable marker on the gauge is easy to move, but can be moved if you hit it while pumping (you're only getting closer anyway). The pump is firm but uneven, the first 1/3 is "light" and then the compression gets harder (it's heavy for my little kids but light enough for an adult, I put my road bike tires at 100 with one hand psi inflated). There are several accessories on the pump that can be securely attached to the pump with a pressure gauge; After weeks of use and rough treatment from my kids, they're still there (my old cheap pump lost this accessory almost immediately). Bottom line: It costs more, but you get what you pay for. I expect this pump considering the build quality lasts and costs two or more cheaper pumps, making it more economical in the long run.
