I first bought an aluminum tin can just for vaping. The description didn't say it wasn't suitable for smooth surface hobs The owner's book says it may not work on a smooth surface and they are not responsible for damage so I'm returning, don't want to risk damage, as I have already ruined an item with an old tin can. Now for this ONE, it costs a little more but it's worth it as it's made of stainless steel and works on a smooth surface or on induction. It's also a double boiler or steam tin can, I just tried the steamer and it WORKS GREAT, 20 minutes for the needle to turn green and it took 35 minutes from start to finish for all the cans to be sealed. This is probably the best tin can you can buy, I LOVE it!
