Review on Chemical Guys Acc_115_GR Industrial Trigger by Jeff Leu

Revainrating 1 out of 5

WARNING: DANGEROUS PRODUCT. Please do not buy!

Frustrated with the poor quality of standard garden sprayers that inevitably stop working halfway, I bought this hand held sprayer because of its advertised description of 'industrial, heavy duty'. It was expensive, but I thought the added safety and reliability was worth it (I use handheld sprayers to apply herbicides to broadleaf mustard on the back slopes of my ranch, as well as the strenuous hike to get up and down the property). It takes me half an hour to refuel, so I take this sort of thing pretty seriously.) The trigger of this "heavy, industrial" mechanism started pouring out of the nozzle within ten minutes (<50 pulls) and completely soaking my skin inside the herbicide mitt ("if it comes in contact with skin, immediately rinse with cold water for fifteen minutes and discard clothing after use," the caution label reads), and despite my repeated attempts to conform and " doing justice”, it only got worse along the way. . Then it stopped spraying altogether and just squirted and dripped when I pulled the trigger. No, the solution wasn't too thick, no, nothing was blocking the inlet filter, and no, the nozzle wasn't screwed on too tight; The seals were poor quality, the nozzle didn't fit well, and even squeezing the plastic bottle while I pulled the trigger didn't help distribute the diluted solution. Wash the agricultural herbicide off your hands and forearms. My new kidskin mittens were a complete waste. For eleven bucks (oh, did I mention they only sent me ONE of the two mechanisms advertised?) I was expecting something that would work a little better than the trigger in your standard window cleaner spray. Bottle. Silly me. How do I crave the old US Department of Labor standards (remember that? Our country once regulated and enforced product safety and advertising truthfulness...but I digress.) Please DO NOT buy this junk product, especially if you will be using it with potentially dangerous chemicals. TO FAIL. (Big.)

Pros
  • High test scores for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
