I decided to buy it after seeing all the good reviews. I originally planned to get this for my Microsoft Surface Pro 3 running Windows 10, which of course doesn't have a DVD/CD drive. But then my Dell Windows 7 laptop DVD/CD drive started behaving strangely and was not recognized by the system. So this purchase should be used with both computers. It was easy to set up for both of them. I think I had to reboot one (can't remember which one) before it was recognized, but it's pretty much plug and play. The beauty of using it on my Surface Pro 3 is that even though my device only has one USB port, an additional USB port can be plugged into the USB power port on the device's power bank for more power. Very happy with the purchase.
