Review on 🧶 The Ultimate Interlace Knitting Guide: Entrelac Unveiled by Karla Richter

In many years of knitting (+40) I've even come up with my own mezzanines. The only book I saw before this year was from Australia, written many years ago and now unavailable. I bought this book and the second one that was recently published and I really think this book is the best of the three. First, Drysdale does not overcomplicate the issue. Antrelacs are not difficult and easy to construct as you only need to knit a pattern with a few triangles and then 2 rows of rectangles. She is direct and organized so that beginners or advanced users can get started right away. I don't think she cares that much knitting backwards that I don't care anyway. Then, after a basic explanation with good photos, she has 65 patterns of all knits that can be knitted in Entrelac; B. lace, cords, dyeing etc. Each pattern has a large color photo and then instructions are given with initial triangles from the start. This section is followed by patterns beginning with a poncho where only the front has a mezzanine. Each project is spelled out in full, along with the thread and thickness required, sometimes specified for the pattern used and sometimes for the mezzanines. I find the book inspirational as reading it gives me ideas for my business with all the examples and designs. I want to make a scarf, but almost all kinds of items are represented.
