Review on ๐Ÿšฝ 75758 Nightlight, Quiet Close Grip Tight Round Front Toilet Seat by Jerardo Phi

Decent seat but NOT for use with a bidet

I wanted a new toilet seat that was durable, non-slip, had a night light, and (most importantly) would fit in my toilet bidet. I was intrigued by the positive reviews for this chair and even watched a video review that mentioned the seat's ability to stay in place and not shift during use. One reviewer said he used it with his bidet so I decided to give it a try. On the plus side, this is a decent seat. The toilet has rubber stoppers that prevent the seat from sliding on the toilet. It's plastic but looks solid enough. Installation was very easy and I love how easy it is to remove for cleaning. The blue night light is good too. There are two settings; one dark and one light. The instructions state that the dark setting lasts one year (using 4 AA batteries - not included) and the light setting lasts six months. The battery case is very easy to get and replace. This seat is also a slow-closing seat, which is a positive. My main complaint is with the design of the underside of the seat as it is NOT suitable for a bidet. Of course, this probably won't be a negative for most people, which is why I'll mention all the positives first. Having said that, I have to say that this is one of the reasons why I prefer wooden seats; because I like the flat bottom. The flat bottom is much easier to clean, feels more durable, allows for attachments (like extra bumpers for heavier people) and (of course) attachments like a bidet. This is a plastic seat. NO CHANCE! I couldn't even tweak anything to make it work. He just can't do it. So here's my two and a half cent review. If you use a bidet or plan to buy one in the future, skip this place. Otherwise it's not that bad.

Pros
  • Automatic night light function to illuminate the bowl with energy saving features
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
