Review on πŸ“Ά D-Link DI-707P Router, 7-Port Switch, Print Server with Cable/DSL Connectivity by Alvin Lee ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

In general, its pretty good, an equal number of pros and cons.

After the purchase, the built-in clock ran wildly in the router, probably running for 4 hours a day (NTP synchronization did not help). It was possible to solve this only by flashing to a version that is not officially supported. Somewhere every 2-3 months, with a load of only 2 computers, the router stably hangs, and at the same time the LAN segment works, but the WAN and the web interface do not. Accordingly, you have to pull it out of the socket, which is inconvenient, because. To do this, you need to go to the other end of the city. And once the password changed spontaneously, I had to do a full hardware reset.

Pros
  • Regular router. There are probably no special benefits.
Cons
  • No QoS and VLAN support. Warming up. Unstable operation: regularly freezes and requires a restart.

In general, the device is already outdated, but it served me faithfully for about three years. Rarely hung up. For a 100 Mbps network, a good option.
