Works great. I placed a five gallon can of gas on a towel in the trunk of my car, stuck the plain end into the filler neck, stuck the brass end into the can, gave it a few shakes and it drained immediately. When the container was empty, I tipped it to get the last piece out. It took two to three minutes to empty 5.5 gallons. To pump gas into my van, I put a container on the table next to the van. Another reviewer complained about a kink in the hose and mine arrived just like that. To solve this problem I used a pair of curved vise grips with rubber on the serrated jaws to protect the hose from damage. then left them indoors in a warm place for about three days. The wrinkles have disappeared. I keep the siphon in a place where it doesn't get too cold and hard, which makes it easier to handle.
