I've never used a French Press before but after watching a few barista tutorials on YouTube I came up with this. I can't judge this product from others on the market, but after a thorough search of the internet to find the best, my efforts were rewarded when I tried this first cup. It's so well designed, well constructed, easy to use and very pretty on my counter. I was surprised it kept the coffee so warm for so long - as easy as using my drip coffee maker (without wasting electricity). I just put a kitchen towel over the hole to make it more comfortable and it stayed hot and delicious for about 3 hours. The best part is that the last cup wasn't bitter at all. In fact, it tasted better than the first. I'm also a big tea drinker so I look forward to using it to bring out the best flavors in my teas. For those of you who haven't tried this method yet, do so. Anyone who has tried other presses and wasn't completely satisfied will be pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one.
