After all the leak reports I was worried but I didn't have this problem. I noticed that you actually have to lower the spout lid to make sure it's closed, and the lid is screwed on a little further than you think. But so far none have leaked, although I shake them over the sink to be safe. They're just the right size to stash in our cluttered closets around the apartment, a single serving after my daily gym workout is enough. I love that the spout lid snaps open when you open it so it doesn't flip back towards your face while drinking. I also like that the shaker springs are shaped like dumbbells. Only thing of note is that one of them warped a little after the second wash (top shelf, dry heated) so I had to force the spout lid shut. a little.
