Review on Taprite 12218 Dual Gauge Regulator by Laurie Thomas

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Five stars for customer service.

I am new to carbonation and this would be a one star rating as the first set of gauges had two major flaws which rendered the entire gauge assembly unusable. When connecting to my CO2 tank, the screw on the duckbill shut-off valve lever broke off because it ripped off somewhere along the way and didn't hold the lever firmly to the valve. The second issue was a very noisy, leaking CO2 sensor on the side of the tank. Reviews for this product were good, but it's clear that Taprite's quality control process was in dire need of improvement. But, and this is a big but, when I contacted Taprite for a refund/replacement, a brand new unit was delivered promptly with no questions asked. . This one works great and I'm a happy camper. I have carbonated about 100 liters of water with no problems with sensors or valves and with excellent results. I gave Taprite five stars because of the great customer service (quick response) and because the sensor assembly actually works as advertised. I consider my first set an anomaly and would recommend this product as an economical and efficient component in any carbonation process.
