Left Thread: Brewing

This item works well: no leaks, accurate gauges, but be careful if you want to add a secondary regulator, either buying from the same brand (almost the most expensive) or your own buy, comes with left-hand thread. If you can get a right-hand thread, you'll either have to find a left-hand and right-hand thread nipple (nearly impossible) or buy a left-handed 1/4" die. Hence my bad rating.

Came with a defective sensor

Sensors are cheap ie of the lowest quality. When I opened the box of this "brand new" regulator, the high pressure gauge didn't work at all. I've looked at hundreds of gauges over the years and have never seen a gauge with a pointer that won't move under pressure. So I looked closely and saw that the backplate was badly bent behind the needle and the needle was stuck at zero because the backplate was pushing against it! The only reason I am not giving a star is because the product appears to be

I like that I can adjust the outlet pressure.

I bought this to adapt a 20lb CO2 bottle to carbonated water, juice etc. I like that I can adjust and block the outlet pressure. I confess that I had to look at the manual to set the pressure gauge. It's not just a matter of turning the knob as it's designed to lock in place as a safeguard against accidental adjustments. The controller was easy to install and the instructions were clear and simple. I adjusted the regulator (to about 40# outlet pressure) and got about twenty small bottles filled

Five stars for customer service.

I am new to carbonation and this would be a one star rating as the first set of gauges had two major flaws which rendered the entire gauge assembly unusable. When connecting to my CO2 tank, the screw on the duckbill shut-off valve lever broke off because it ripped off somewhere along the way and didn't hold the lever firmly to the valve. The second issue was a very noisy, leaking CO2 sensor on the side of the tank. Reviews for this product were good, but it's clear that Taprite's quality…

Guide to getting the most out of it

love it. Works like a dream. You will need a couple of wrenches to attach and tighten this. Attach this regulator to the tank and use a hose clamp to connect the hose to it. The other end of the hose must have a quick connect to the regulator. Adjust psi to 30 and chill your liquids. To use, connect a hose to the carbonator cap and bottle (with a wrench), then turn on the tank and regulator. Hold for 30 seconds while shaking the liquid, keeping the bottle as low as possible to prevent backflow…
