Review on 🔧 Revere Ware Lid Knobs Replacement - Pack of 2 by Mike Fedd

I bought this and a set of Dutch Oven handles to restore my mother's old Dutch Oven. We weren't sure if Revere was hers or not, but it looked pretty close, so I took a chance. The Revere's side handles fit well, but this lid handle doesn't. The bolt on the lid of her slow cooker appears to be 3/16 inch, not 8-32. I still gave this item 5 stars because it REALLY looks pretty good and is made of solid Bakelite and not hollow plastic. So I took one of them. Lid handles attached to my workbench and drilled out the brass insert with a 3/16" cobalt bit. There was a bakelite hole that matched the grub screw on the lid. So it all worked out fine. She didn't want to buy a new one, so her old Dutch Oven has one now again a useful grip set. If you don't want to change anything, use vernier calipers to measure the diameter of the pot's threaded cap before buying. You can get a cheap plastic caliper at many hardware stores. 8-32 is tiny compared to 3/16" . So if you enjoy drilling something like this, now you know that at least one other person has successfully done it.
