I was curious about these bearings as I have stayed with shielded bearings for the past 12 years. They're pretty good, but they're hair magnets. I have to drive about a mile from where I parked to get to my office. A couple of times I've made it to my office and literally a whole nest of hair got stuck in one of my back bearings. It's a university with a lot of people walking around, mostly women, so I think there's a lot of hair on the floor? In any case, the bearings will be very slow at first after I've pulled out as many hairs as possible, but after riding for about ten minutes they seem to have regained their speed.
