Review on Demeyere Belgium Resto Water Kettle 4.25-qt. Bistrot - Enhanced for SEO by Cesar Cook

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect balance between size, weight, quality and price

I like this kettle. It's almost perfect (would rather it actually be from Belgium as advertised than Indonesia as advertised on the sticker on the base). The size is just what I need to make lots of tea as well as pitchers of iced tea. The weight is just perfect, big enough to feel like a quality kettle, with a thick base to dissipate heat but not so heavy that I can't lift it easily. The lid and opening are large so I can easily put my hand and sponge in to clean. The spout doesn't drip (although I'd like it to whistle). It is true that this is not the fine, super-expensive, truly Belgian Demeyere teapot that some are looking for. But that's also less than a quarter of the price of one of these gems. By far the best kettle I've found for the price. And I've hunted everywhere and tried many crooked, cheaply made, dripping, tarnish prone, difficult to clean, mostly crappy kettles. After kissing all those frogs, it's nice to find a teapot *Prince*. Very happy.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad
