Another design where the engineer didn't try the product before production. The chair folds with a slight pressure on the backrest. The problem is that the back straps are too low on the back. Also, the lower strap attachment points are too close to the loop. Move the straps all the way up the backrest and all the way down to the seat. Also make belts with heavier combat gear, preferably something that doesn't stretch when wet. And yes, canoe seats get wet all the time! I would make them out of stainless steel cable, not nylon mesh. Free for design consultation.
