Folding chair for boat cabin products

Another design where the engineer didn't try the product before production. The chair folds with a slight pressure on the backrest. The problem is that the back straps are too low on the back. Also, the lower strap attachment points are too close to the loop. Move the straps all the way up the backrest and all the way down to the seat. Also make belts with heavier combat gear, preferably something that doesn't stretch when wet. And yes, canoe seats get wet all the time! I would make them out of

I have been canoeing for almost 60 years. .

I have been canoeing for almost 60 years. I used to make fun of people using canoe seats. Until I got a little older and the cumulative effects of work gave me back pain. My wife bought it for me and now I can't canoe without it. Velcro straps secure it to the canoe seat. The backrest is adjustable with straps and folds down when not in use. This seat may not fit some large canoe seats. By leaning against the back of the seat, you can make rowing more efficient. Well done, I expect it to lastโ€ฆ

Disappointment with fabric breakage

This seat was purchased for a trip to Canada to be used as a bench on a 17ft fishing boat. The seat was comfortable and provided good back support, but by the end of the second day the split seat was beginning to unravel and by the middle of the third day the fabric had completely fallen apart (see photo). The split seat is designed to flex in a molded canoe seat, but is not required on a flat canoe or regular boat seat, and the straps cannot be used on the solid seat platform of a 17-footโ€ฆ

Strong, comfortable, lightweight seat

About a month ago I bought two of these seats for my 14 foot canoe. My canoe has plastic benches built in as they are not very comfortable. With these seats I was much more comfortable and was able to spend a lot more time on the water. Here are some features of the seats: The seat is wide and fully adjustable. Installation time: 30 seconds - literally just 2 clamps and tighten. extremely durable. Lightweight and easy to carry, high quality material, durable pockets, also located on the back of

Not suitable. in seat

I think the seat will be comfortable enough as the padding is great but I don't know when. The straps do not fit my canoe seat. They're a few inches shorter. I scoured the internet and found two things. 1. This is a very common complaint about this seat and has been posted by many people on many websites for a long time. I assume the manufacturer must have known about this and decided not to fix it. 2. There is only one place I can find SitBacker extension straps and that is the GCI websiteโ€ฆ

Decent seat, useless in some canoes

This is a well made seat and there is probably no better seat. However, for me it was in the back of a 16 foot Wenonah canoe that I rented for a week in border waters in Minnesota was useless. The narrowing of the stern meant that the SitBacker did not fully fit the seat of the canoe. It was difficult to position it so I was even able to get the seat back to an upright position. A few minor design changes could explain this general problem. I don't know why the manufacturer didn't do thisโ€ฆ

nope no Cheap

This seat was not strong or comfortable enough for my canoe trip. First the good: It wasn't insanely expensive and gave temporary relief from back pain during 3-4 hour sessions. Velcro for portage lock did the job. And I'll admit that a smaller person (my 6ft 175lbs) might have a better experience. Now for the bad: The single adjustable strap never stayed tight and gradually loosened over time, so I kept tightening it. It also never mated very well with the pre-curved seats on the Old Townโ€ฆ
