I have been using a Garmin 310XT for about 6 years. I ordered one while I was in Iraq and Amazon shipped it quickly with my APO box. It's an easy device to use and I've never had any problems with it. It finds satellites quickly and I never lose reception. I first bought a Garmin 405 but didn't like the touchscreen frame because I sweat a lot and the display was small. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the new models have, but from a pure running standpoint it works great. It quickly connects to Garmin Connect to track my data with a USB stick. My only fear is that they will eventually stop supporting these watches due to their age. The battery life on this watch is great, but I didn't test the swim and bike functions, so I can't comment on those functions. The reason I am writing this is that the prices of this watch have fallen dramatically so I recently bought one for my daughter. I want to upgrade but don't want to take the leap because there are so many conflicting reviews. Not to mention that I would have to pay around $350 for the same features. Why do that when this one still works great. So if you are looking for a reliable running watch and want to save some money, I would buy this watch. You will not be disappointed.
