works as it should. I had to upgrade my hot rod's electrical system after converting it to EFI. Before the conversion, the idle voltage was fine. The voltage was about 13 or so at 720 RPM. after the Holley EFI rebuild the voltage has dropped to about 11 volts! After a little research I decided to do it. With two electric fans, a stereo booster, a fuel pump, and the EFI unit itself, I need at least 90 amps, so I made some room and ordered this 115 amp alternator. With a full electrical load, I still have the headroom you really need. I also upgraded the alternator wire to 8 gauge to handle the load. This is a single wire alternator that is very easy to install. Indeed. it's just a wire.
