My setup was a bit different than some other people here. I actually mounted my lights on the roof of my empty cap to better illuminate the entire body of the truck, not just under the rails. I have carpeting so I used duct tape to lay out the lights and then the included 3/8" screws to attach them to the roof itself. I then routed the wires through the grommet on the inside of the cover and down to the driver's side tail light. For power I ran a wire from the battery to the back of the truck with a built in fuse to protect the circuit. I also bought a small aftermarket round switch to control the lights that fit into the factory hole in the back of the truck. It took a few extra ports to hook everything up, which luckily I had, but overall I managed to do it in just under 2 hours. If I had to do it all over again, I could probably cut that time in half. Anyway the lightbulbs are on and they look and work great! They are very bright and provide more than enough light for whatever I need to do. I would recommend these lamps to anyone who wants to add a little extra light. light on the back of their truck.
