Bought a set to try, then bought 3 more sets for friends. When I first opened the box I figured there was no way they would catch fire on my ram's bed with a lid over it. Have I ever been wrong! At night it looks like a studio. They are amazing and installation is easy. Installing the switch and connecting the wires takes more time than anything else. But the work takes only 30-45 minutes.

Headlights are great. There are two independent strings of 4 each. They fit perfectly and mount under Truxedo roof rails. The wires are a little light and flimsy (although adequate for the power required). also pos/neg are not identifiable by wire color but with decals on the ends of the wire, making it possible for track to be lost while spliced/running into the loom etc. Despite other reviews stating this kits come with missing hardware, mine came in a kit (actually came with TWO complete…

I installed this on the back of a 2004 Silverado truck with a tonneau cover. I connected it to the reverse lights. When I lock or unlock the truck with the remote control, the light comes on for about a minute. That's enough time to look at bed, and if I need more time, I just press the button on the remote control again. It illuminates the bed very well when the bedspread is closed. Just installed them in my 2012 Toyota Tundra. Not super bright, but sufficient. I think I would get more light if I used waterproof flexible LED strips instead. I cleaned and tucked the modules under the bed beams, then routed both cables over the bed near the tailgate to the tow pack. My setup was a bit different than some other people here. I actually mounted my lights on the roof of my empty cap to better illuminate the entire body of the truck, not just under the rails. I have carpeting so I used duct tape to lay out the lights and then the included 3/8" screws to attach them to the roof itself.
