So the hold itself seems very good. My biggest problem is with the shaft. There's quite a bit of dead space on the stock itself as you transition from lowering to raising, if that makes sense. For example I needed a ball 25 inches off the ground when the shaft is down the highest height I could set was about 17 inches pointing up towards the lift the lowest height I could set was about 28 inches. I ended up paying another $80 for a shaft that worked. Luckily, shafts are pretty versatile. Plus, it was easy to install and should last a long time.
