I like that they come with a mounting ring. Instead of a simple toggle switch (RS), they can be inserted into a mounting ring. Once inside, they won't come out, so make sure you line them up in the ring the way you want them. The installation of mounting rings enables use in thicker materials. I use them on the HAM radio station. The panel I use them on is no larger than 1/4 inch. Rocker switches without rings fit easily, but won't stay as tight as you'd like. The only thing I don't like is the "rocker switch" that works. on a plastic ring, in some photos of the ring without it.
