It works. Although the directions say 5 grams per 10-20 gallons, I should use a total of 80 grams to treat 35 gallons of tap water to lower the pH to 7.0. Although I don't grow any plants in my tank, this product does contain phosphates and the amount I'm adding worries me a bit. So far my discus are still eating and swimming well, but I'm trying to do my best to lower the pH with fewer chemicals. So it works to pump it out and doesn't kill your kH which helps maintain your buffer unlike Seachem's acid buffer which is very dangerous if you use tap water even if you use it with an acid buffer alkaline buffer.
