DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM! I bought this item to take with me on my trip to Dubai. I have made sure my hair dryer meets specifications. That was the main reason why I chose this converter. The second I turned on the hair dryer, sparks rained down on my arm and shirt. My $250. The bio-ion hair dryer exploded, her converter exploded, both ready for the trash. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they could only refund me 1/2 of my money. The? Defective product causing damage. I think the most frustrating part was that I went to Amazon for help and they told me that the best they could do was offer me a $31 credit as this is outside of their refund policy as there is a restocking fee ? For real ? You can't resell it because it doesn't work. Did they say they can do that because that's all their computer will allow? He explained that I could not speak to a supervisor or manager and that was the best they could offer me.
