K&N is great. Every time I buy a new car, I buy it when it's time for a new filter. A filter for the life of your car and all you have to do is wash and oil it with a k&n kit. To be honest I can't say if it improves performance but I don't care. I got into my 2014 Audi Q7 TDI with no problems. Simply remove the engine cover, open the 2 latches on top of the filter box, carefully remove the mass air flow wiring harness and loosen the intake pipe clamp and you are done. I wiped and vacuumed the box because I had parts in it.
