Great device, works great!

So this is a really neat product that works exactly as described by the seller. It's been really fun and useful so far and I can see the possibilities are endless with this scanner pen. Straight out of the Amazon box this pen comes in great packaging and looks/feels like a high starting quality. . The kit includes simple instructions, a charger and a software CD if you wish to import data to a PC. Haven't used this part yet as I've been using an android app developed for this pen. I think since the stylus will mainly be used on the go I would like to know how the stylus works with my portable computer (Android phone, HTC 10 to be exact) and not with something I won't always have with me ( Laptop). . After charging for about 2 hours out of the box, the pen paired easily with my phone via a Bluetooth connection. I was already on the road and scanned what my heart desires. Living in a predominantly Hispanic area and speaking some Spanish myself, I tested the translation features primarily in Spanish. Everything turned out to be translated correctly for the most part, and you can see an example in my application interface screenshots. I really like how the green light illuminates the word you're scanning so you know what it's writing. I've tried different scan speeds and different words (all basically the default 12 font size or so) and just got a red error display which I'm not sure what caused it - probably user error. I really like that you can easily adjust the manual input by adding or removing a letter if the scan starts or ends late. It's a piece of cake! I've also added some shots of different parts of the software interface (again, this is Android, I don't know what an iPhone or computer software looks like). One thing I would like to see the vendor add is a downloadable version of the software on the hard drive. My Mac laptop doesn't have a floppy drive and I don't have an external floppy drive. I assume this applies to many new computers. So an online repository from which to download relevant software would be a great addition to complete this product. Another thing I would like to change in the software to add some extra functionality to this pen is to create an extra dictionary function that actually has definitions. In the current dictionary function, it simply takes a word from one language and translates it into another language that interests you. I might find it useful to define a word as well, for cases where there is no direct translation, or just for general vocabulary I don't know in my native language. I often find myself Googling words I'm unfamiliar with when reading novels and the like, so it would be great to just pick up a pen, scan a word and get a definition. Overall, this pen works very well with Android. app, and does what it says, it works pretty much flawlessly. At the moment it is best used as a translation/writing tool and I hope they can also add a vocabulary search function to identify words.
