Review on 💡 Cisco SFP-10G-LR= 10GBASE-LR SFP+ Module: High-Performance Networking Solution by Sam Anez

Used in a Cisco SG500X switch in a data center. The item came with all the original tags and packaging. It was marked SFP-10G-LR-X, which turned out to be an extended temperature range part. It took some experimentation to figure out how to plug in the module and then the cable as I don't use optical connections that often. . To insert the module, first lower the wire bracket. Insert it all the way in (if it doesn't go all the way in, it's probably the wrong way round), then remove the rubber dust plug and flip the wire clamp. Remove the dust caps from the yellow optical cable with blue connector and insert it into the module until the latch clicks. If the latch does not click, the cable is probably reversed. Everything worked immediately.
