Review on 🚴 EyezOff GP96 Aluminum Bicycle Pump with Mounting Bracket (Black) by Mark Gilbert

Lightweight, compact, efficient and cost-effective

I need a compact pump to replace my Genuine Innovations CO2 inflator. The problem with my original Innovations product is that it actually requires threaded cartridges, despite falsely claiming to accept non-threaded cartridges. The cost of towed CO2 cartridges proved significant. The weight of three 16 gram cartridges is also more than I would like to carry with me all the time. This EyezOff mini pump is a great replacement for my Touring Hybrid's tool kit. It's very compact and lightweight. The barrel is made of alloy, not plastic. The folding handle is convenient. Very little air is lost from the Schrader hose when connecting or disconnecting the pump. I have a good floor pump for home use. However, I completely deflated the tire to test this pump before relying on it for emergencies. I found it easy to pump up even though it takes a lot of pumping. It took 260 strokes for the 700c x 40 tire to load up to 53 psi. That's actually enough pressure for such a fat tire. While the EyezOff meets my needs perfectly, I doubt it will ever be able to inflate a tire past 65-70psi. You may still need to carry a CO2 pump if using narrow road tires in excess of 100psi.

Pros
  • Soft T-handle for better grip
Cons
  • unreliable
