Review on NetCloud Essentials IBR600C Router America by Heather Lawson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Reliable connection and strong Wi-Fi signal

I had Edge Cell Service with a Verizon Jetpack (this worked sometimes, but not always). The Cradlepoint router solved this problem without having to install external antennas in my house. It also offers a much stronger indoor Wi-Fi connection; The router is on the second floor and I have a fixed connection in my office in the basement (the house is a frame house). A few things to watch out for: 1) I suspect that the advertised "150Mbps" modem speed is actually "150Mbps" (Mbps = MegaBIT per second) and not Mbps = MegaBYTE. 1 byte = 8 bits, so actual speed is 18.75 Mbps (you'll see that if you check speeds on speedtest.net or a similar site. I'm getting 18/11 speeds fairly consistently, but I still have never seen a faster speed than this so I suspect it's a limitation of the IBR600C modem, while Jetpack sometimes gave me download speeds of 30+Mbps 2) This router won't work without a NetCloud account 3) The Router is probably registered with the seller, so you'll need to contact CradlePoint to transfer the router to your account (they can also set up a NetCloud account for you at CradlePoint if you don't already have one).
