I'm not sure if I received a defective unit, but I'm returning mine. It comes rolled in a box. When I plugged it into multiple outlets, it barely got warm. since it is almost comfortably warm (70 degrees) but not warm enough to heat its surroundings, which defeats the purpose. (It warms your hands just fine, though!) If you set the temperature with the dial, anything below the maximum doesn't produce any noticeable heat. Very disappointing. I won't get involved. I'm trying a different heater.
