Review on Enhanced Performance & Durability: MOOG K80141 Ball Joint for Optimal Steering Control by Matt Schmick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ball joint factory type.

Ordered 2 lower ball joints for a 2003 Crown Victoria. The first fit perfectly. The second (which arrived late) had the wrong nut in the package. The Moog K80141 requires a nut with a plastic insert to prevent vibration dampening. The factory packaged an old-style nut that used a pin to prevent vibration dampening (which doesn't work on new cars). Revan quickly resolved the issue. This ball joint is made in America and has a grease fitting. By the way, Ford suspension parts are made by Moog, TRW and another company.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
