I ordered this for my first remodeling project. With most of the mechanical work done and the car almost ready to drive, I have no idea what the condition of the air conditioning is. I'll admit this is my first kit but it's just what you need to diagnose. Problem. More importantly, I can also use it to charge the system. It was easy to use with anything color coded, especially for a newbie like me. As my restoration project is ongoing, I hooked it up to another car that is running without air conditioning. After connecting the quick connectors and opening the valves, you can start reading. This is my only criticism of the set, the gauges were a bit difficult to read, especially for those who need to view the readings. However, the readings showed that there was no pressure in the car, which indicates a lack of freon, moreover, a leak. Upon further investigation we found that the air conditioning/clutch was not clicking. When you factor in the cost of simply diagnosing the problem, which typically ranges from $90-$100 here in Florida, this kit is well worth it. Combined with the fact that it can be used to charge, it literally pays for itself out of the box. I am very happy with this kit as it helped me understand a system in cars that I was trying to avoid and made the process easier for me. . I therefore recommend it without hesitation, especially for hobby craftsmen.
