Review on 🔧 Enhance Performance and Prolong Lifespan with ATP B-187 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit by Anthony Gupta

This review is for the ATP B-187 Automatic Transmission Filter Kit. I've never serviced my transmission and thought I had problems with the transmission because it wouldn't upshift (it turned out to be in limp mode due to a knock sensor fault code). It is very important to determine if you have a 10 or 11 bolt gearbox (there was a mid 1999 replacement) before ordering your kit. This kit included a steel clutter filter, filter gasket and pan gasket. The quality is very good. The pan gasket had slightly smaller screw holes at the corners to hold the screw; very useful function. Be sure to clean the mating surfaces of old gasket material and grease. You can apply a light coat of RTV Sealant to keep the pan gasket in place, but it's not necessary. The filter uses a high quality stainless steel mesh that is easier to clean and reuse and lasts much longer. Be sure to remove the old round rubber gasket before installing the new one. The new gasket fits snugly and helps support the filter when the 3 bolts are installed. Follow Toyota torque instructions for filter bolts and pan bolts. I have driven over 500 miles with this new filter and gasket. There were no leaks or problems. I am very happy with the quality and performance.
